Happy Mom’s Day

This Mother’s Day is extra special to me.

Why, you may ask, makes this mother’s day so significant?

First of all, I am amazingly blessed to still have my mama for another mother’s day.

This past year, my sweet mom, had some very serious health problems. I spent many hours praying for her to “come back to us” and to begging God to ” wait a little longer“, before taking her Home.

God heard my prayers and I am so thankful to still have my mom here to celebrate another mother’s day.

I know some great women that have lost their moms this year, be thankful for every moment you have with your mom.

Don’t think about all the work that goes into making your mom feel special on mothers day.

Now, that I am a mom, I truly realize all my mom did for me growing up. So, one day to show her my appreciation, is nothing compared to the stress I caused her.

Secondly, I am beyond thankful to have my children to pamper me for Mother’s day.

I have had to watch so many amazing parents lose their precious children, and my heart hurt with them.

I know, most of us moms, just want to sleep late, have a clean house, and be pampered.

I want that too, but I also want my kids to spend every moment with me on mother’s day. With no complaining.

This year I pray with all my heart for the mama’s having to exist during mothers day without their mama or their child.

I pray they God comforts them and heals their broken hearts.

Lastly, I am so thankful, to have an amazing husband that will stay up all night smoking a Brisket for me to eat on mother’s day.

My husband makes sure I have an amazing day, and appreciates me by letting me rest on mom’s day.

I know, there are so many single moms raising their children all alone. They are the strongest women and they make it looks easy, but I know the weight of world must be heavy on them.

I admire all you single moms out there, having to be the mom and the dad, you’re the real VIPs of mother’s day!

So, Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing moms! I hope you all have the best day! No matter what you’re going through this mother’s day, just know, you are not alone.
